- Sri Lanka Telecommunications (Amendment) Bill – Second Reading scheduled for the 09th of July
- The Second Reading of the Animal Welfare Bill scheduled to be Debated on the 11th
The Secretary General of the Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera, stated that the Parliament is scheduled to meet from July 9th to the 12th. This was decided at the Committee on Parliamentary Business held recently (03) Chaired by the Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana.
Accordingly, the Parliament is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, 09th of July at 9.30 am. time has been allotted from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. for Questions for Oral Answers.
Whilst the Second Reading of the Telecommunication Bill has been scheduled to be taken up for debate, the Motion in relation to the Annual Report of the GSMB Technical Services (Pvt) Ltd (2021), the Motion in relation to the Annual Report of the Financial Statements of the tower Hall Theatre Foundation (2021), Motion in relation to the Annual Report of the National Transport Medical Institute (2022) has been scheduled be passed without debate from 10.30 am. To 5.00 pm.
Furthermore, the Matara Season Organization (Incorporation) Bill, the Shaili Edutainment Foundation (Incorporation) Bill, the Samadhi Meditation and Yoga Centre (Incorporation) Bill have been scheduled to be considered and the Second Reading of the Institute of Drafting Technologists Sri Lanka (Incorporation) Bill has also been scheduled.
Thereafter, time has been allotted from 5.00 pm. To 5.30 pm. for the Motion at the Adjournment Time by the Government.
On Wednesday the 10th of July, time has been allotted from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. for Questions for Oral Answers. Thereafter, from 10.30 am. To 5.00 pm. Two notifications under the Excise Ordinance published under the Gazette Extraordinary Nos. 2366/38 and 2369/32, two Regulations under the Imports and Exports Control Act published under the Gazette Extraordinary Nos. 2384/34 and 2384/35, Order under the Strategic Development Projects Act published under the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2377/41 have been scheduled to be taken up for debate.
Thereafter, time has been allotted from 5.00 pm. To 5.30 pm. for two Questions at the Adjournment Time.
On Thursday the 11th of July, time has been allotted from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. for Questions for Oral Answers and the Animal Welfare Bill – Second Reading has been scheduled to be taken up for debate.
Thereafter, time has been allotted from 5.00 pm. To 5.30 pm. for the Motion at the Adjournment Time by the Opposition.
On Friday the 12th of July time has been allotted from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. for Questions for Oral Answers. Thereafter, from 10.30 am. To 5.00 pm Private Member motions by Hon.
