Ceypetco Announces Significant Fuel Price Hike Effective Midnight
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a revision of retail fuel prices, effective from midnight tonight, March 21, 2026. This latest adjustment sees a notable increase across all major fuel categories.
According to the official media release, the decision was made to adjust prices to reflect current market conditions. The new prices for a liter of fuel are as follows:

Highest Increase: Super Diesel and Petrol 95 Octane have both seen the sharpest rise, increasing by Rs. 90.00 per liter.
Essential Impact: Lanka Auto Diesel, widely used for public transport and logistics, has increased by Rs. 79.00, while Kerosene has risen by Rs. 60.00.
Nationwide Effect: These prices are applicable island-wide starting from 12:00 AM tonight.
