Island-wide Special Police Operation: 681 Arrested in 24-Hour Crackdown
COLOMBO – In a massive security push, the Sri Lanka Police have arrested 681 individuals within a 24-hour period ending on the morning of March 14, 2026. The operations, conducted under the direct instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), are part of an ongoing national initiative to eradicate crime and narcotics.
